Claims consultant

My background in residential construction spans more than a decade of building custom homes and completing remodeling projects, and I continue to stay actively involved through the rehabilitation of rental properties. In 2005, following extensive training and part-time work as an adjuster, I transitioned into a full-time role as a claims examiner. In this position, I handled a wide range of claims, including property damage, bodily injury, product liability, and auto-related losses. Over time, I advanced to managing large and complex structural damage claims that exceeded one million dollars.

Beginning in 2010, I dedicated myself to developing a deeper understanding of the Illinois Condominium Act, with a focus on delineating responsibility between Associations and unit owners and interpreting bylaws. My decision to remain local, rather than deploy to out-of-state storm activity, has allowed me to gain significant experience in condominium claims specifically.

Throughout my career, I have reviewed numerous Illinois ISO forms and collaborated with hundreds of structural and electrical engineers, attorneys, forensic accountants, and thousands of mitigation and construction professionals. These experiences have helped me evaluate losses thoroughly, fairly, and efficiently. I have also had the privilege of contributing to alternative dispute resolutions—including mediations and arbitrations—where I worked alongside some of the most skilled legal professionals in Chicago.

While professional experience provides meaningful value, I believe that maintaining a servant-minded approach offers an equally important foundation for building trust and delivering the best possible outcomes.

Would you like me to make this even more concise—almost résumé-style—or keep it in this more narrative, cover-letter tone?
